Your Host

If Hansi Entner were a doctor by profession, his “standard prescription” would probably be TRANQUILITY, TIME & SPACE. Just like his parents, grandparents and great-grandparents before him, the Achensee native is a passionate host, which is why he makes sure that all guests at his 4****s hotel “Der Wiesenhof” in Pertisau am Achensee find these values.

Experience Tranquility, Time and Space

Enjoy the TRANQUILITY that surrounds the hotel. Spend quality TIME with your loved ones. Find SPACE in nature and connect with it. The WIESENHOF is a place of strength at Lake Achensee, situated beneath a backdrop of impressive mountain ranges.

From Farmhouse to Wellness Hotel: Hosts with Tradition

A quaint farmhouse in the centre of Pertisau 100 years ago, today a tasteful 4-star superior SPA & Park Hotel for all generations. A retreat for wellness guests who look for high standards in quality.

The Achensee region was once a popular hunting and fishing area for the country’s sovereigns. In the middle of the 19th century, tourism began in the Achensee region. In 1887 the steamship “St. Josef” was launched and two years later the steam cog railway was built, transporting increasing numbers of visitors to Pertisau.

Between 1936 and 1941, most of the guests at Wiesenhof were Germans, including the daughter of the famous physicist Max Planck. After the war, the majority of tourists came from Italy, France and Switzerland, and it was not until 1951 that German guests again found their way to Pertisau, which by then had become known as a climatic health resort. In 1956, a devastating storm caused the price of timber to plummet and it was decided to turn the Wiesenhof into a bed and breakfast for “summer visitors”.

Skiing in the Tirolean Alps became a popular sport and in 1967 the Wiesenhof was equipped for winter operation (heating). The family has continuously invested in improving the accommodation and services.

The KARWENDEL SPA was opened in 2001. Today, the Wiesenhof is one of the best 4-star superior spa hotels in Tirol.

Over the years, the Wiesenhof has received numerous awards, including one for the most family-friendly hotel.
