Why tranquility, time and space are the DNA for a „second home“.
The Wiesenhof Credo
„A home from home – feel as comfortable as in your own home.“HANS ENTNER
At the Wiesenhof, we strive to be a homely place where a warm welcome and friendly smile awaits all visitors. Our hotel enjoys a truly beautiful setting with its verdant surroundings, and as soon as you walk through the door you can start to relax and unwind. The personalized sense of hospitality that the host family Entner instills in their team comes from generations of family experience.
If Hansi Entner were a doctor by profession, his “standard prescription” would probably be TRANQUILITY, TIME & SPACE. Since the Achental native is a passionate host – like his parents, grandparents and great-grandparents before him – he provides everything that guests require to find these values in his 4****s-Hotel “Der Wiesenhof” in Pertisau am Achensee.

From farmhouse to wellness hotel: Hosts with tradition
A quaint farmhouse in the centre of Pertisau 100 years ago, today a tasteful 4-star superior SPA & Park Hotel for all generations. A retreat for wellness guests who look for high standards in quality.
The Achensee region used to be a popular hunting and fishing area for the country’s sovereigns. In the middle of the 19th century tourism began in the Achensee region. In 1887 the steamship “St. Josef” was launched, and two years later the steam-cog-railway was built and transported an increasing number of visitors to Pertisau.
Between 1936 and 1941 most of the guests at the Wiesenhof were Germans, among them the daughter of the famous physicist Max Planck. After the war most tourists came from Italy, France and Switzerland and it was not until after 1951 that German guests again found their way to Pertisau, which became known as a climatic health resort during this period. In 1956, as a result of a devastating windthrow, timber prices plummeted and the decision was made to turn the Wiesenhof into a bed and breakfast for “summer visitors”.
Skiing in the Tirolean Alps became a popular sport and in 1967 the Wiesenhof was also equipped for winter operation (heating). The family has continuously invested in the enhancement of board and lodging and the services.
In 2001, the KARWENDEL SPA was opened. Today the Wiesenhof is one of the best 4-star superior spa hotels in Tirol.
Over the years, the Wiesenhof has achieved numerous awards, among others for the most family-friendly business.
