Karwendel Marsch

29. August 2015 all-day

On the 29th of August 2015 at 6 a.m. the participants of the Karwendel Marsch meet at the starting point in Scharnitz, to cover either the 35 (only available to hikers and Nordic Walkers) or the 52 kilometre routes in their chosen activity

From here, the route proceeds via Schafstallboden, Karwendelhaus, Kleiner Ahornboden, Falkenhütte, Eng and Binsalm, Gramai-Hochleger and Gramaialmdown to Pertisau at Achensee.

In addition to the sporting challenge the Karwendel area’s role as a conservation area and the health of the people and the natural surroundings are concepts which are to the fore. At the lab stations participants are provided with organic produce to re-energise, and when their task is complete these hardworking runners and walkers receive beneficial shale oil products to revive their tired feet.

The “Trail Running Camp”, which is held from 25th to 28th June 2015, is the perfect way to prepare. In addition to tips from the 2012 winner of the Karwendelmarsch, the schedule also includes workouts on the actual course. More information on Trail running camp
